DBS Television – Reporter & Producer: Reported on 50+ breaking news and feature stories for St. Lucia’s leading news station, including headliners on drug abuse, laws against homosexuality, and a case of 50 mysteriously poisoned pigs. A two-part series on rape crimes led the government to start a sex offense registry and reopen a DNA forensics lab. Launched a weekly segment called Corps Values and subsequently filmed, produced, scripted, and tracked 52 stories highlighting Peace Corps initiatives. Canaries Infant School - English Literacy Teacher: Peace Corps assignment to teach English to 54 students at a K-2 school in a rural fishing village. Built a library with 2300+ donated books, trained student library leaders, and initiated a partnership with a nonprofit supporting literacy in the region. Implemented four positive behavior management systems as alternatives to corporal punishment. CANBlendz – Co-Founder: Co-founded a small business producing frozen packages of pre-washed, pre-measured smoothie ingredients to provide income for community members, support local farmers, and encourage healthy eating habits. Devised three original recipes, sourced ingredients, designed packaging, managed inventory, and marketed products across the island.
