Objective

I’m looking towards the next chapter in my career. What always entice me was getting involved in talent development and recruitment. I always wanted to help others get involved in our media industry and find new talent. After spending 18 years working in the newsroom, I want to bring my experience, knowledge, and creative ideas to recruiting new talent for a media company. I have been in the trenches as a producer, working for live breaking news and taped production, for NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, and in the CNN family on three platforms (CNN/HLN, CNN+, and CNN Digital). With this expansive experience, I feel I have the confidence to eye great incoming producing talent. I was also a minority journalist so I value the opportunity to assist and give advice to fellow minority journalists to get their foot into the door. During pre-covid times, I was heavily involved with affinity groups where I helped organized workshops, networking mixers, newsroom tours, job fairs and conventions for members. I’ve also been used as a guest speaker, panelist, and mentor for young members at AAJA, NAHJ, NABJ, and SAJA.
