Design and Development Intern

● Built a non-developer-friendly “click to publish” template for storytelling with a single detail-rich image, allowing designers to set zoom and pan points with scrollytelling text overlays. Worked with a Chronicle archivist to leverage the paper’s vast photo collection. ● Developed custom components in React.js for digital projects, including an animated horizontal scrollytelling component for a piece about the Eaton Fire’s impact on downtown Altadena ● Coded internal newsroom tools to streamline workflow between developers and non-design teams, including an automatic ArchieML tag generator for React components and a new mobile-forward template for photo stories
