Objective

To provide content from an Asian-American point of view, while using my academic background in International Affairs, International Communications, and Asian Studies to analyze the state of global politics. I hope to bring stories of the immigrant experience, second generation Americans, and global politics to the forefront of media. In doing so, I want to shed more light on the "hidden figures" of past and modern Asian affairs. My work also discusses how interracial politics and class play a role in how media can shape narratives and policy. Finally, my expertise in Asia allows me to analyze and report on the rise of Asian media (such as K-Pop, Hong Kong film, Taiwanese music) and how this is shaping global markets. My knowledge in Asian politics allows me to discuss current events (ex: Hong Kong protests, Taiwanese COVID rise and local elections, South Korean media and society) with authority and accuracy.
