Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE Inc. is seeking an Editorial Web Producer who will work with freelance columnists to drive traffic at Inc.com and uphold quality standards for editorial content. This individual will also work closely with senior editors and members of the web editorial team to optimize and publish content and select and produce newsworthy articles from content partners, as well as book excerpts. Additionally, the Editorial Web Producer may review column proposals and publish magazine content.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Assist columnists with headlines, column ideas, social media, search engine optimization, light editing, and troubleshooting content management system problems
Evaluate pitches from potential columnists
Track real-time columnist traffic performance and offer recommended action steps
Advise columnists on how to grow traffic
Write must-click headlines
Select, produce, optimize and publish magazine or content partner articles
Identify trending pieces using analytics tools
