The big picture: Axios is a growth-stage company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We are committed to a diverse newsroom and news industry. We are investing in the next generation of journalists who are ready to focus their career, whether that be developing expertise in a coverage topic or a new skill.
Why it matters: We will hire four journalists who come from underrepresented backgrounds to work with our teams for one year to deepen their knowledge on a beat or specialized skill.
Journalists will apply and indicate their interest in one of the following areas: politics, health care, race and justice, business, world news, science, energy/climate and data visuals.

While we cannot guarantee a permanent position at the end of the fellowship, our goal is to prepare each fellow for the next step in their career and place them in their next role.
By the numbers: The salary range for this role is $75,000-$90,000. Any offered salary will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to work experience and skills.
